The DUO Business Partnership Development Programme starts on Wednesday 24th November and runs once a week for 10 weeks from 9.30am – 12.30pm.
The DUO Business Partnership Development Programme exists to support owners/ managers of an SMEs with family members involved as partners within the business. The programme has been designed to optimize and de-risk any small business where the partnership involves a family/ close personal connection.
DUO Business Partnership Development Programme
The aim is to ensure that both partners are working in their sweet spot within the business, playing to their strengths and operating within a role that offers the greatest return for the business.
It will improve communication and increase alignment between individuals who have entered into a partnership arrangement together, or who have entered into a partner’s existing business. This will lead to better collaboration and leadership and a more productive and harmonious business.
Types of family partnerships supported include: • Civil Partners/Married Individuals/Couples • Siblings • Parent/Offspring Partnerships or Joint Venture Partnerships. Any business, where having a strong relationship in work, and at the dinner table, is important, will find this programme impactful.
The programme requires participation by two partners from within each participating company, both of whom are at a decision making level within the business.
The programme is limited to 6 businesses to ensure maximum impact.
Overview
The programme will foster scaled growth by removing challenges faced when new dynamics come to play within a business by either a new entrant partner or by other family dynamics.
Recognising that new partnerships can offer the business an opportunity to leverage enhanced skills, approaches, and experience that new partners can often provide as well as commercial skills and insights.

• Understand the individual drivers of each partner
•Examining current and future roles and responsibilities and the strengths and skills of both parties
• Build each partners Self Awareness , Communication & Negotiation Skills
• Review Legal Structures and Operational Considerations and Financial Implications
• Support development or a Strategy for Growth and a Business Case
• Explore opportunities for Grant Aid & Funding
The programme includes the following supports:
• 5 strategic virtual workshops.
• Smart action planning templates
• Individual and partnership mentoring (virtual and scheduled to suit your diary)
• Individual DISC assessment and debrief to enhance personal awareness (virtual and scheduled to suit your diary)
