The Ibec HR Leadership Summit 2022 returns on 20 October at Croke Park.
This year’s conference spotlights the HR leader and their central role in strategically driving the business forward.
The Summit will put the areas of strategic business priorities into context for HRDs with a lens on the implications for competitiveness and reputation.
Ibec HR Leadership Summit 2022 Agenda
- The ‘S’ in ESG – The ‘S’ is fast becoming the more significant of pillars to focus on and covers social capital and human capital, with the most crucial factors including human rights, diversity and inclusion, equity, health & safety, and wellbeing. HRDs that manage their social and human capital can help create long-term value for the organisation.
- A strategic look at Diversity & Inclusion and its impact on the organisation and labour market participation. The Summit will look at how we make progress on diversity issues, extending this to equity and inclusion of those more marginalised from the labour market.
- Capitalising on continuous disruption – HR Leaders must capitalise on the disruption of the last two years, to nurture new cultures of rapid learning, technology adoption and continuous change. HR need to cast forward and plan for the development of new people skills, processes, and infrastructure to meet an accelerating pace of change in organisation life-cycles.
- Navigating the paradoxes of HR – HR leaders need to balance the tension inherent between the rigors of employment rights legislation on the one hand and driving a culture of engagement and flexibility for the individual employee and the other. They need to balance the individual’s needs and career aspirations versus the organisation’s needs, encourage employees individually without alienating the other employees and encouraging teamwork.
