Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs
This event will introduce the possibility of an entrepreneurial career to particular groups of women that may not have considered it previously and where there is untapped entrepreneurial potential – women in senior corporate positions, those with doctoral and post-doctoral academic qualifications, professional women, women seeking a change in their life, among others.
The event is created by women for women, and the evening will focus on sharing stories that inspire us all towards action, towards connecting and towards considering entrepreneurship as part of our future. It will be co-hosted by
• Dr Sally Cudmore, Director of Innovation at UCC. UCC Innovation is responsible for creating economic and societal impact from UCC research through knowledge exchange and the commercialisation of ideas and technologies. It achieves this through licensing technologies, providing UCC expertise through consultancy and supporting the establishment of new spin-out and start-up companies.
• Paula Fitzsimons, through Fitzsimons Consulting, has designed and implemented several peer support initiatives to address gaps in enterprise development. Among these is the award winning Going for Growth programme, which is in its 15th year of supporting ambitious female entrepreneurs to realise their growth ambitions.
The event will also feature the following Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs who will share their stories:
Andrea Doolan, CEO & co-founder of Atlantia Clinical Trials
Dr Anne Cusack, co-founder and former CEO of Critical Healthcare
Dr Barbara Ann Murphy, Founder of Equilume Ltd.
Following the interactive session, there will be networking with food and wine.
