About Dr Niall Murray B.E. (Hons), MEng, PhD.

Dr Niall Murry is a lecturer in the Dept. of Electronics and Informatics, School of Engineering, Athlone Institute of Technology. He is founder and Principal Investigator of Truly Immersive and Interactive Multimedia Experiences (TIIMEx). Dr Murry is also a Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Funded Investigator for Confirm Centre for Smart Manufacturing as well as Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Funded Investigator for Adapt: the Global Centre of Excellence for AI-driven digital content and media innovation.

COMAND Technology Gateway based at AIT works with a range of SME’s & Multinationals across various industries in the IT, Software and Connected Media Fields. COMAND concentrates on the research and development of prospective interactive media technologies focusing on Augmenting User Interactions, End-to-end Applications and Intelligent Infrastructure.
