Certificate in Audit Skills

The aim of the Certificate in Audit Skills (CAS) is to develop the skills and knowledge of public sector internal auditors in order to carry out effective audits and make a greater contribution to the governance of their organisations. The Certificate is an issues-based course focused on skills enhancement to meet the ever-changing needs of the auditor in delivering an added value and quality service. The programme examines in detail, and in a very practical manner, the key areas of the work of an internal auditor.

Modules One, Two and Three are delivered online and Module Four is delivered in person at the IPA in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.

Module dates are scheduled as follows:

Programme One 2025

Module One: 11-13 February 2025
Module Two: 19-21 March 2025
Module Three: 28-30 April 2025
Module Four: 27-29 May 2025^

Programme Two 2025

Module One: 16-18 September 2025
Module Two: 20-22 October 2025
Module Three: 11-13 November 2025
Module Four:  2-4 December 2025^

^ Module Four will be delivered onsite at the IPA in Dublin.  All other modules are delivered online.
